Job summary

Washmen in Dubai seeks a reliable Sorter to join our commercial laundry team. You will receive soiled items, sort by color, fabric type, and washing requirements, and ensure accurate tagging and tracking of customer items.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and meeting daily productivity targets while maintaining a clean, organized sorting area. Previous laundry experience is preferred, and basic English literacy plus computer familiarity are helpful to follow procedures and update records.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry operations preferred.
• Basic English reading/writing required.
• Ability to learn and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled laundry items from customers and internal collection points.
• Sort garments, uniforms, linens, and other textile items by color, fabric type, washing requirements, and customer specs.
• Inspect items for stains or defects and report findings to the supervisor.
• Separate heavily stained or damaged items for special treatment.
• Tag, count, and track customer items.
• Prepare sorted laundry for washing by loading items into designated carts, bins, or conveyors.
• Follow company procedures for handling customer garments and specialty fabrics.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sorting area.
• Assist with loading and unloading laundry carts as required.
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Support other laundry operations when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow company procedures for handling customer garments and specialty fabrics.
