Job summary

ENNISMORE is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to ensure the efficient processing of hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry in a 5-star luxury environment.

You will operate washing and finishing equipment, inspect items for quality, and uphold high hygiene standards. The role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hotel laundry or commercial laundry is preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal, washing, drying, ironing, and pressing is a plus.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods and lift/move laundry bags or linen.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.
• Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, count, and classify hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items according to established procedures.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, presses, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect all items for stains, damage, and quality before and after the washing process.
• Apply appropriate washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing, and finishing techniques according to fabric type and hotel standards.
• Fold, press, package, and distribute clean linen and uniforms to the appropriate departments.
• Process guest laundry and dry-cleaning items accurately and within the required turnaround time.
• Maintain proper separation of clean and soiled linen to ensure hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report damaged, stained, or missing items to the Laundry Supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow all hotel health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in a hotel laundry or commercial laundry is preferred.

Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, stain removal, washing, drying, ironing, and pressing.

Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Good physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods and lift/move laundry bags or linen.

Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene and quality standards.

Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
