Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, 2–3 years of post-qualification experience, and a valid DHA/DOH/MOH license or eligibility. BLS certification is preferred, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
• Valid DHA/DOH/MOH license or eligibility preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years post-qualification ultrasound experience.
• General ultrasound experience; obstetric/vascular/cardiac is an advantage.
• Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, small parts, and MSK imaging.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
• Acquire high-quality images and provide preliminary observations to radiologist.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Document patient information and examination findings accurately.
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to deliver timely diagnostics.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sonographer to join a leading healthcare facility in Al Ain. The successful candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, assist physicians in patient diagnosis, and ensure excellent patient care while maintaining compliance with UAE healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, small parts, and musculoskeletal imaging as required.
• Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the examination process and ensuring patient comfort.
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and provide preliminary observations to the radiologist when appropriate.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and examination findings.
• Adhere to infection prevention, radiation safety (where applicable), and quality assurance protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and UAE healthcare regulations.
• Participate in continuous professional development and departmental quality improvement initiatives.
