Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking an experienced network architect in the UAE to design and deliver enterprise-scale solutions spanning data centers, LAN/WAN, and cloud migrations. You will work with customers to define requirements and craft scalable architectures for onPrem and cloud environments.

The role requires deep expertise in routing protocols, Cisco platforms, and modern data-center networking, with opportunities for certifications and leadership in delivery across regions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise design and deployment of hypervisors, networking, SAN/NAS, and BCDR.
• 5+ years with Azure IaaS migrations and optimizations.
• 5+ years in Cloud Networking services and Cisco platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions and explain technologies to customers.
• Gather requirements and propose solutions incl. hardware, software, and BCM services.
• Design scalable DC, LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewalls, and network devices.
• Architect onPrem to Cloud (Azure/AWS) migrations.
• Prepare SOW, LOE, and BOM for projects.
• Oversee configuration, installation, and maintenance.
• Train deployment/field engineers for on-site deployment and troubleshooting.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions and explain technologies to customers
• Gather requirements and propose solutions including hardware, software, and Business Continuity services
• Develop scalable solutions for DC, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewalls, and other network devices
• Design scalable solutions for physical and virtualized compute (onPrem and Cloud) and storage solutions
• Assess and design onPrem to Cloud (Azure/AWS) migration solutions
• Prepare statement of work (SOW), level of effort, and bill of materials (BOM) for projects
• Provide oversight for configuration, installation, and maintenance
• Train deployment/field engineers for on-site deployment and troubleshooting

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with enterprise-level design and deployment of Hypervisors, networking, SAN, NAS, and BCDR components
• 5+ years of experience with Azure IaaS including migrations and optimizations
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud Networking services
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business area or equivalent proven work history
• Proficiency in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MP-BGP & IS-IS
• Experience with Cisco APIC and Nexus series platforms
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst series switch platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Cisco data networking certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE)
• Broadcom VMware sales and technical certification
• Microsoft Certified: AZ-800/801 or AZ-802
• Datto: Kaseya Certified Expert (KCE)
• Veeam: VMCE+
