Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer to lead detailed system designs, layouts, and schematics for projects in the UAE. You will assess sites, evaluate feasibility, and ensure designs meet safety and regulatory requirements while optimizing costs.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical/renewable energy engineering with hands-on PV design experience, proficient in AutoCAD and PVsyst, and fluent in English to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Renewable Energy engineering.
• Proven experience in solar photovoltaic system design.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies and electrical design principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and PVsyst.
• Excellent problem-solving and innovation.
• Fluent in English and able to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed solar PV system designs including layout, electrical schematics, and component specifications.
• Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to optimize system performance and comply with local regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and procurement teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and assist in tender documents.
• Utilize AutoCAD, PVsyst to model and simulate solar systems.
• Stay updated with the latest solar technologies, industry trends, and regulatory standards in the UAE and globally.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure designs meet safety standards and client requirements while optimizing cost-effectiveness.
