Job summary

EDGE is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer II to join our flight-critical embedded systems team. You will design and execute test plans for avionics software, ensuring strict DO-178C compliance while guiding automation and CI practices.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace/defence testing, expertise with DO-178C, and proficiency in JIRA. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuous QA improvements are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing for embedded systems in the aerospace or defence industry.
• Strong experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.
• Proficiency with test automation tools; experience with the Rapita Verification Suite is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA and the Atlassian suite for defect tracking and team collaboration.
