Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer specializing in embedded avionics software. You will design and execute tests, ensure safety-critical compliance, and lead testing activities across the full lifecycle.

The role requires DO-178C expertise, hands-on automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in aerospace/defence and using Rapita Verification Suite, JIRA, and CI practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing for embedded systems in the aerospace or defence industry.
• Strong experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.
• Proficiency with test automation tools; experience with Rapita Verification Suite is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA and the Atlassian suite for defect tracking and team collaboration.
