Job summary

Edge Group in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, seeks an experienced Software Test Engineer with a strong background in embedded systems and aviation software testing to join our aerospace team.

The role requires at least 5 years of embedded software testing experience in the aerospace or defence sector, knowledge of RTCA DO-178C, and proficiency with test automation and CI practices; a Rapita Verification Suite background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/EE or related field
• Minimum 5 years of embedded software testing in aerospace/defence
• Proficient with RTCA DO-178C standards
• Experience developing/executing test plans and procedures
• Familiar with test automation tools and Rapita preferred
• Proficient with Jira and Atlassian suite

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing for embedded systems in the aerospace or defence industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong experience with RTCA DO-178C standards and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test procedures.
• Proficiency with test automation tools; experience with the Rapita Verification Suite is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of JIRA and the Atlassian suite for defect tracking and team collaboration.
