Job summary

DNV seeks a Software Solution Consultant in Dubai to strengthen the QHSE Customer Solution Design team. You will configure and implement the Synergi Life software and advise customers on best practices, aligning with their requirements.

Occasional travel within the region is possible. You will work with external customers, participate in workshops, and provide guidance on enterprise risk management and quality, health, safety and environment solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS, engineering or related field is required.
• Strong English written and spoken communication.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Web technologies is expected.
• Experience with Synergi Life software is an advantage.
• Programming experience with SQL, PowerShell, Python, and C#/.Net is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Attend workshops and meetings to gather customer requirements and prepare specifications and scopes of work.
• Advise external customers on best practices to maximize ROI on Synergi Life.
• Identify opportunities to add value to customer implementations and sales with existing customers.
• Configure Synergi Life to meet customer requirements and test installations.
• Act as project manager for smaller implementation and configuration projects.

Synergi Life is one of the leading software suites for managing risks related to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment in the world. Synergi Life is used by more than 750.000 users and provides over 350 companies worldwide with an overview of and tools to manage enterprise risk. Synergi Life consists of several modules, can be customized to the needs of the customers, and is delivered primarily as a SaaS solution.

Currently we are looking for a Software Solution Consultant to strengthen our QHSE Customer Solution Design team.

The role will be based in the Middle East (Dubai) and will report to the Head of Section Global QHSE Customer Solution Design and may involve travel to customer sites within the regions supported. Travel will be occasional only.

In this role you will actively work with external customers, configure and implement, but also give advice and guidance related to the Synergi Life software and best practices in line with customers’ requirements.

About You

Business Advisory:

• Attend workshops/meetings in order to gather customer requirements and then prepare appropriate specification documents and scopes of work.
• Advise external customers best practice so that they get the best possible ROI on their Synergi Life system.
• Identify opportunities to add value to customer’s implementations.
• Identify sales opportunities with existing customers.

Project Delivery:

• Configure Synergi Life application that meets requirements agreed with the customer.
• Test the installation and configuration you have performed as well as testing the work performed by other consultants.
• Act as a Project manager for smaller implementation and configuration projects.

Competences Required:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Excellent command of English language both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Arabic or any other regional language will be an advantage.
• Programming language experience.
  • MS SQL - requires high level of knowledge.
  • Powershell/Python /C#/.Net - will be an advantage.
• Good experience of relational databases (SQL Server).
• Proficient with Windows Server / Web technologies.
• Good knowledge of Synergi life system including database structure is an advantage.
• HSEQ or Risk domain knowledge is an advantage.
• Previous working experience in energy sector is an advantage.
• Knowledge about Microsoft Azure cloud based services is an advantage.
