Job summary

Black Pearl Consult is seeking a compassionate Social Worker to join our client’s team in Abu Dhabi. The role supports patients and families through psychosocial challenges, coordinating care and ensuring emotional well-being during treatment, with pediatric exposure highly preferred.

You will provide counseling, assess needs, coordinate with providers, and advocate for patient rights while maintaining documentation and confidentiality in a holistic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
• UAE license/registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in hospital/clinical setting including pediatric exposure.
• Strong knowledge of psychosocial assessment, counseling techniques, and care coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families facing medical, emotional, and social challenges.
• Assess patients' social, emotional, and financial needs and develop care plans.
• Act as liaison between patients, families, healthcare providers, and community resources.
• Support families in coping with long-term illnesses, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care.
• Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospitalization services.
• Advocate for patients' rights and ensure access to resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and referrals.
• Conduct awareness and educational sessions as part of holistic care delivery.
• Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

Experience supporting pediatric patients is highly preferred.

RequirementsTo be considered you need to meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a hospital or clinical setting including pediatric care exposure.
• Strong knowledge of psychosocial assessment counseling techniques and care coordination.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
