Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. This role is within one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, recognized for delivering exceptional patient-centered care and providing holistic support services. The Social Worker will play a critical role in supporting patients and families through psychosocial challenges, coordinating care, and ensuring emotional well-being during medical treatment. Experience supporting pediatric patients is highly preferred. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families dealing with medical, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Assess patients' social, emotional, and financial needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, healthcare providers, and community resources.
  • Support families in coping with long-term illnesses, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care.
  • Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospitalization services.
  • Advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive adequate support and resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and referrals.
  • Conduct awareness and educational sessions as part of holistic healthcare delivery.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity at all times.

Requirements to be considered include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
