Job summary

Sundus is seeking an SMP1 Shift Electrical Technician in Abu Dhabi to maintain electrical systems in a steel melting plant. The role requires 5-10 years of UAE experience and a Diploma/Engineering background, with focus on automation and safety.

This is a 1 year contract with renewal potential and a team-oriented work environment. The position involves day-shift electrical maintenance, collaboration with automation and production teams, and utilization of CMMS/SAP systems to ensure optimal plant

Qualifications

• 5 years (for Diploma holder) or 8 years (for Trade Certificate holder) in Electrical maintenance in steel plant with high automation.
• Experience with Steel Melting and Billet casting processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical maintenance best practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Maintenance in the Steel Melting Plant during the day shift.
• Ensure corrective and preventative maintenance is performed to standard and on time.
• Coordinate with other technical and production disciplines as a team.

General Summary

Responsible for carrying out Electrical Maintenance function in Steel Melting Plant during day shift to ensure that electrical corrective and preventative maintenance activities are performed to the correct standard and in a safe timely manner so that plant utilization is maximized at minimum cost. Works and integrates with other technical & production disciplines as a Team worker

Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)

Diploma in Engineering or Engineering

Any Preferred Professional Training

Trained on Elect. & Auto. Systems pertaining to Steel Melting and Billet casting plant

Professional Experience (Must Haves)

5 years (for Diploma holder) or 8 years (for Trade Certificate holder) in Electrical maintenance in steel plant preferably in Steel Melting and Billet casting plant with higher level of automation.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities required

Fully conversant with Steel Melting and Billet casting process.

Fair knowledge of Level 1 Automation systems related to Steel Melting and Billet casting process.

Experience on maintenance of processing equipment (Medium Voltage Substations,

Transformers, Switchgears, PLCs, Drives, and Motors etc.)

Familiar with basic office computer software, e.g., word processing, email etc.

Ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS),

preferably SAP, and instruct others on its operation.
