Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Slickline Assistant Operator to support offshore and onshore slickline operations in the UAE. You will assist with rig-up/rig-down, operate tools under supervision, and help maintain equipment in a safe, efficient manner.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, ability to work in demanding environments, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. UAE driving license is preferred and offshore certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in oilfield services or slickline operations preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
• Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, H2S, and First Aid are advantageous.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, rig-up, operation, and rig-down of slickline equipment and tools.
• Support the Slickline Operator during well intervention and maintenance activities.
• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and housekeeping of slickline units and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Participate in pre-job safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Maintain records of equipment usage, maintenance, and activities.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and mobilization of equipment to onshore and offshore locations.
• Report equipment defects, hazards, and safety concerns promptly.
