Job summary

Minor International in Dubai seeks a skilled Carpenter to join our maintenance team. You will maintain, repair and construct wooden structures and fixtures across our facilities, reading blueprints and working with engineering and maintenance colleagues to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Appropriate documented training or certification in carpentry or a related field from a recognized technical or vocational institute.
• Minimum one year of hands-on carpentry experience in facilities management, hotel engineering, or construction.
• Ability to read interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols, OSHA standards, and local Dubai building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute carpentry tasks according to project specifications, drawings, and maintenance schedules.
• Perform repairs, installations and modifications of wooden structures, fixtures and furnishings to high quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work orders to complete projects accurately.
• Maintain organized work areas, tools and equipment with proper storage and inventory management.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate projects and ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations specific to Dubai and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
