Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced Welding Site Inspector for a confidential power generation IPP project. You will inspect welding activities, review welding documentation, and coordinate NDT, ensuring compliance with WPS and project QA/QC requirements.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering diploma or degree and at least 7 years of welding inspection experience, with CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of welding inspection experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes, NDT, QA/QC documentation, and site inspection practices.
• Experience in power, oil & gas, utilities or EPC projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding activities for piping, structural steel, supports, and related mechanical works.
• Verify WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, consumables, material traceability, fit-up, preheat, welding parameters and post-weld requirements.
• Coordinate and review NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, PT, and visual inspection.
• Monitor pressure testing, hydro-testing, reinstatement, and test pack completion where applicable.
• Raise NCRs, observations, and punch list items when required.
• Maintain welding inspection records, weld maps, NDT records, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer, QA/QC team, and EPC Contractor.

We are looking for experienced professionals with strong EPC, Owner’s Engineer, consultant-side, power generation, utilities, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, thermal power, or industrial project experience.
