Job summary

SEGULA Technologies in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Site Inspector to oversee installation, alignment, testing, and pre-commissioning for a confidential power generation IPP project.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering qualification with 7+ years in mechanical inspection, experience in power generation or EPC projects, and UAE/GCC exposure. You will coordinate with engineers, QA/QC, and EPC contractors to ensure QA/QC compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of mechanical inspection experience.
• Experience in power generation, industrial plants, utilities, oil & gas, or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, piping, equipment inspection, QA/QC, and testing.
• UAE / GCC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installation of mechanical equipment, piping, valves, supports, skids, pumps, packages, and balance-of-plant systems.
• Verify material receiving, preservation, installation, alignment, cleanliness, and mechanical completion.
• Review method statements, ITPs, inspection checklists, test packs, and QA/QC documents.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, reinstatement, mechanical run checks, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Raise site observations, NCRs, and punch list items where required.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer, Welding Inspector, Commissioning Engineer, QA/QC team, and EPC Contractor.
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports, and quality documentation.

For a power generation IPP project in Dubai, UAE, we are mobilizing an Owner’s Engineer team to support EPC design review, construction supervision, site inspection, testing, commissioning, COD readiness, and warranty-period follow-up.

We are looking for experienced professionals with strong EPC, Owner’s Engineer, consultant-side, power generation, utilities, waste-to-energy, biogas, landfill gas, thermal power, or industrial project experience.
