Job summary

ALEC Holdings is seeking a proactive Site Engineer in Dubai to lead coordination of site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across works. The role demands interpretation of drawings, method statements, and QA/QC standards to deliver on program milestones.

You will collaborate with project leadership, consultants, and Direct Works teams, supporting lookahead planning, inspections, and handover activities. UAE experience preferred.

Qualifications

• First Aider certification or ability to obtain one.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with method statements, inspections and QA/QC documents.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Awareness of safety practices and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exposure to BIM tools and document control platforms.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning and handover procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and method statements for clarity and feasibility.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors, consultants and project teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections and raise QA/QC inspections.
• Track and report progress to leadership.
• Address inspection comments and non-conformances with QA/QC.
• Ensure works align with design specs and approved documents.
• Support safety procedures and monitor site compliance.
• Assist in as-built documentation and red-line drawings.
• Participate in short-term lookahead planning and interface coordination.
• Apply technical knowledge to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Undertake other duties as required by management.
