Site Engineer – Project Coordination & Quality Lead

Job summary

builtroom is seeking a Site Engineer to supervise daily site activities in Dubai and ensure works meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards. You will coordinate with project managers, designers, procurement, and subcontractors to keep progress on schedule.

Candidates should hold a Civil Engineering degree, have strong coordination skills, and be fluent in English. UAE experience is preferred but not mandatory, and candidates must be based in Dubai and available to join on short notice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in residential renovation, interior fit-out or construction preferred.
• UAE experience is preferred, but we are also open to strong candidates without UAE experience.
• Good understanding of architectural, civil and MEP drawings.
• Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily site activities and ensure works are completed according to drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and in-house labour.
• Monitor site progress, manpower, materials and project schedules.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, designers and the procurement team.
• Review drawings and identify technical or site-related issues before execution.
• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure proper workmanship.
• Prepare daily site updates, progress, reports and site documentation.
• Coordinate inspections, snagging and project handover.
• Ensure proper health, safety and site organization.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively resolve site issues.
