Job description

Role Purpose

To manage and supervise all electrical installation activities at the project site, ensuring that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and safety regulations. The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for coordinating site operations, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely and quality completion of all electrical works.

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise and execute electrical installation works including power distribution, lighting, ELV, and other building services systems.
• Review and interpret drawings, technical specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, plumbing, civil, and architectural disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth progress.
• Manage site manpower, materials, and equipment, ensuring efficient utilization and workflow.
• Conduct site inspections and testing to verify the quality of installation and ensure compliance with UAE authority standards (DEWA, ADDC, DM, etc.).
• Support the planning and scheduling of site activities to meet project deadlines.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to management.
• Identify and report any design discrepancies, site conflicts, or delays, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and company safety policies on site.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, consultants, and main contractors to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 2 years in the UAE or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, ELV systems, and UAE electrical codes and authority requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and familiarity with Revit MEP is an advantage.
• Experience in site supervision, material inspection, and installation practices for large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
