Job summary

ALEC Engineering and Contracting L.L.C. is seeking a Site Engineer for Spa & Wellness installations within luxury hospitality projects. You will coordinate specialist fits, supervise on-site activity, ensure adherence to drawings and specs, and support safe, timely delivery across disciplines.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction or fit-out and at least 5 years in Spa & Wellness projects, with a civil/mechanical/electrical background and strong coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation of Spa & Wellness facilities (saunas, steam rooms, hammams, showers, thermal suites).
• Monitor site activities for compliance with shop drawings and specs.
• Coordinate interfaces between architectural, MEP, and specialist equipment.
• Review site readiness and prerequisites before starting specialist works.
• Monitor progress, sequencing, manpower, materials, and equipment deliveries.
• Manage technical docs: RFIs, method statements, installation requirements, as-builts.

About Your Team

You will work closely with site foremen, specialist suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams to coordinate the installation of Spa & Wellness facilities, including saunas, steam rooms, hammams, experience showers, salt rooms, and other specialist wellness environments.

You will support site execution activities, drive multidisciplinary coordination, and ensure specialist installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.

Your Role

As a Site Engineer - Spa & Wellness, you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating the installation of specialist Spa & Wellness facilities including saunas, steam rooms, hammams, experience showers, and thermal wellness environments
• Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and installation requirements
• Coordinating architectural, MEP, and specialist equipment interfaces with project stakeholders
• Reviewing site readiness and installation prerequisites prior to commencing specialist works
• Monitoring project progress, installation sequencing, manpower, material availability, and equipment deliveries
• Managing technical documentation including RFIs, method statements, installation requirements, and as-built records
• Coordinating inspections, quality reviews, MIRs, WIRs, and defect rectification activities
• Supporting testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities for specialist wellness systems and equipment

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, fit-out, or specialist installation works
• At least 5 years of experience in Spa & Wellness projects or specialist thermal facility installations
• Proven experience in the installation and coordination of saunas, steam rooms, hammams, thermal suites, and specialist wellness equipment
• Experience coordinating architectural, MEP, and specialist subcontractor works
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Experience within luxury hotels, resorts, destination spas, or high-end hospitality developments is highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong understanding of Spa & Wellness installation requirements and thermal facility construction systems
• Ability to interpret shop drawings, technical specifications, and installation details
• Experience in site progress monitoring, inspection coordination, and construction documentation
• Familiarity with insulation, waterproofing, specialist finishes, testing, and commissioning activities
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with specialist Spa & Wellness suppliers, manufacturers, and installation teams
