Job summary

OMA’s Abu Dhabi office is seeking a Senior Architect to join the site supervision team on a high‑end project. You will support the Site Supervision Lead, review shop drawings, and manage field coordination on site.

The role requires strong technical writing, autonomy, and the ability to escalate design changes. You will be based on site for the duration of the appointment within a globally recognized architectural practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture with professional registration or eligibility to register in UAE or GCC.
• 8–10 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 5 years in site‑based construction supervision on large‑scale projects in GCC.
• Experience reviewing architectural shop drawings and submittals for façade, envelope and interior fit‑out packages.
• Sound judgement to distinguish local resolutions from those needing escalation to the design lead team.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and identify problems early.

Responsibilities

• Review shop drawings, coordination drawings, materials and submittals for compliance with design intent.
• Respond to RFIs, prepare details and minor coordination revisions.
• Escalate material changes affecting design intent to the design lead team.
• Maintain clear written records of reviews, decisions and escalations.
• Represent OMA in coordination meetings, workshops and authority interactions.
• Support snagging, as‑built review and operation and maintenance documentation.
