CAE Aviation in Abu Dhabi offers a Simulator Technician I role within our maritime training environment. You will support operation, maintenance and reliability of simulators and related systems while developing specialist maintenance skills through structured training and hands-on experience.

The position targets early-career technicians or engineering graduates, requiring English fluency, a technical degree, and willingness to work flexible shifts.

Formación

• A two-year technical degree or four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering in electronics, computers, IT, mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant technical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings and technical schematics.
• Proficiency in using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and logic analysers.
• Knowledge of analogue and digital theory.
• Computer literacy, including PC architecture.
• Driving Licence is required.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving technical issues affecting simulator equipment and systems.
• Record maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
• Complete designated technical and operational training.
• Perform pre- and post-training checks on designated simulators.
• Carry out basic visual system alignments.
• Run QTG tests and assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Support the CAE Quality Management System requirements.
• Provide responsive technical support to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain simulators and equipment to housekeeping standards.
• Assist with logistics activities including parts receiving, repairs, testing and validation.

Simulator Technician I

As a Simulator Technician I you will support the operation maintenance and reliability of simulator equipment and associated systems within our Abu Dhabi UAE maritime training environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career technician or engineering graduate to develop specialist simulator maintenance skills through structured training and hands-on technical experience.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and perform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems
• Assist with diagnosing troubleshooting and resolving technical issues affecting simulator equipment and systems
• Use the maintenance management system to accurately record and track maintenance activities
• Complete all designated technical and operational training
• Perform pre- and post-training session checks on designated simulators
• Carry out basic visual system alignments
• Run automatic Qualification Test Guide QTG tests
• Assist with simulator refurbishment and hardware modifications
• Learn and comply with CAE s Quality Management System
• Provide responsive technical support to customers and address requirements in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain simulators technical areas and equipment to the required housekeeping standards
• Support logistics activities including receiving parts repairs testing and validation
• Complete administrative duties as required
• Provide technical support to the wider Technical Services team as required

Minimum Qualifications

• A two-year technical degree or four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering in electronics, computers, IT, mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• 0 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings and technical schematics.
• Proficiency in using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and logic analysers.
