Job summary

Star Services in Abu Dhabi seeks a skilled machinist with steel plant experience to operate machine tools and produce parts from drawings. You will follow SOPs, maintain safety, coordinate with shop staff, and report deviations to supervision to keep plant downtime minimal.

Requires 3–5 years in metalworking, technically trained through Technical School, and strong ability to read engineering drawings with basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Machine Shop of Steel Plant or heavy industry as machinist.
• Must have steel industry experience.
• Read and understand engineering drawings; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools to make work pieces/spares per drawing or sample given.
• Follow standard operating procedure & quality systems.
• Follow instruction from Sr. Machine Shop Operator / Supervisor & responsible for giving required service in shift for plant down day, major shutdown, breakdown or spares.
• Safe operation of machine tools and implement safety procedures along with the supervisor on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with regular workshop staff and set the machine as required for operation; communicate deviations and guidance to supervisor.
