Shift Machinist - Steel Plant Operations

Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a skilled machinist to operate machine tools and produce parts per drawings or samples. You will follow SOPs and quality systems, work in shifts to support plant down days, major shutdowns, or breakdowns, and ensure safe, efficient shop floor operations.

You will coordinate with workshop staff, set up machines as required, and report deviations to the supervisor to maintain continuous production and quality.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Machine Shop of Steel Plant or heavy industry as machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate machine tools to make work pieces/spares as per drawing or sample
• Follow standard operating procedures and quality systems
• Follow instructions from Sr. Machine Shop Operator / Supervisor and provide required service in shift for plant down days, major shutdowns, breakdowns or spares
• Coordinate with regular workshop staff and setting the machine as required for the operation
• Communicate with supervisor on any deviations and guidance
