Job summary

Work standard is seeking an experienced optometrist in Sharjah, UAE to provide high-quality eye care. You will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and treat eye conditions, prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses, medications, and administer vision therapy.

You will educate patients, monitor progress, and collaborate with ophthalmologists to ensure the best outcomes for patients. We are willing to consider applications from immigrants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from an accredited institution.
• License to practice optometry from the Ministry of Health in UAE.
• Knowledge of standard optometric techniques and procedures.
• Ability to diagnose various diseases of the eyes.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive eye examinations on patients.
• Diagnose and treat eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses according to patient needs.
• Prescribe medications for treatment of various eye conditions.
• Administer vision therapy as needed.
• Educate patients about their eye health.
• Monitor patient progress over time.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals such as ophthalmologists.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care activities.
