THE ROLE

The Service Delivery professional is responsible for managing end-to-end import activities, ensuring compliance with procedures, and maintaining smooth communication across internal teams, external stakeholders, terminals, and customs authorities. This role acts as the primary coordination point between GBSL and the UAE agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the focal point of coordination between GBSL and the UAE agency to facilitate seamless import operations.
  • Monitor and control the performance of GBSL import and counter teams, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Ensure vessel manifestation and all import documentation are completed accurately and within the established SOP timelines.
  • Attend and respond to RFIs from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as the focal point of communication with terminal operators and customs for import shipments.
  • Handle and arrange direct delivery processes for IMO import shipments, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
  • NOCs issuance of for relevant shipments and operational requirements.
  • Manage and resolve customer escalations related to import shipments, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.
  • Process Change of Destination (COD) requests and manage last-minute intermodal conversions as required.
  • Fleixalbe to work as a backup for other departments within the Service Delivery functions when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in import operations in shipping, or freight forwarding.
  • Strong understanding of UAE customs regulations, port operations, import documentation and vessel manifesting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders, terminals, and customs authorities.
  • Proven ability to manage customer escalations and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to accuracy and timelines.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support other Service Delivery departments when required.
  • Teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
