Alfa Laval in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on reconditioning of GPHE and WHE heat exchangers, including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, gasket work, assembly and pressure testing.

You will work with the service center team, follow SOPs and safety rules, and may support field service at customer sites. A Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering and 5–10 years in industrial maintenance are required; welding certification is a plus.

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or related technical discipline.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, service centers, or manufacturing workshops.
• Knowledge of Alfa Laval products, especially heat exchangers.
• Possession of welding certifications and practical experience.
• Safety-driven professional adhering to industry and company standards.

Responsabilidades

• Disassemble, inspect, clean, dye-check, glue gaskets, assemble and pressure test GPHE and WHE units.
• Repair and recondition equipment in service centers per specifications and manuals.
• Meet customer requirements with timeliness; willing to work extended hours.
• Coordinate with sales to prioritize jobs and report deviations promptly.
• Use PPE according to hazards and safety requirements.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping in the workshop.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (ALPS) to boost productivity and quality.
• Prepare service reports, inspection records, and delivery documents on time.
• Assist with Field Service activities at customer locations when requested.

• Perform hands on activities related to Heat Exchanger reconditioning including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, dye checking, gluing of gaskets, assembly, and pressure testing of the GPHE and WHE units.
• Execute repairs and reconditioning of equipment in service center according to specifications, repair manuals and the defined job scope.
• Able to go extra mile in fulfilling our customer requirements for on time execution of jobs & willing to work extended hours.
• Ensure that jobs are executed according to importance in close cooperation with sales and that deviations are reported quickly.
• Use all required PPE in accordance with the job‑specific hazards and safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) in the workshop.
• Support continuous improvement (ALPS) initiatives to improve productivity and quality.
• Perform all reconditioning and repair activities in accordance with the approved procedures and work instructions (SOP).
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing service jobs within the Service Center.
• Attend organized training courses as instructed, which will be a part of Personnel Development program.
• Prepare and submit service reports, inspection records, and delivery documents accurately and on time at each stage of the job.
• Secure a strong HSE and quality culture within the Service Centre.
• Support incident reporting by documenting and escalating all safety incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner.
• Foster a strong safety culture by encouraging proactive reporting and continuous improvement in HSE performance.
• You will also be required to support Field Service activities at customers locations if requested.

An ideal candidate must have

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related technical discipline.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, service centers, or manufacturing workshops.
• Knowledge of Alfa Laval products, especially heat exchangers, would be an advantage.
• Possession of welding certifications and practical experience will be an added benefit
• A safety‑driven professional who consistently adheres to industry and company standards.
