Job summary

CB&I Asset Solutions in Sharjah is seeking a Senior Engineer for Subcontracts (Wells). The role focuses on developing and managing subcontract plans, tendering, and negotiations to secure favorable terms while coordinating with Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in energy sector contracts, with strong drafting and stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of wells operations and related terms.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in subcontracts, procurement, contracts or commercial management within energy/oil & gas/engineering/industrial services.
• Ability to interpret prime contract requirements and develop flow-down provisions.
• Familiarity with wells, drilling, well management, platform operations and maintenance contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, INCOTERMS).
• Broad understanding of Well Construction activities including Drilling, Completions, Well Testing, and Well Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage subcontract plans and strategy across projects.
• Lead tender processes, evaluation, and award recommendations with governance and records.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and related amendments.
• Coordinate inputs from Legal, Compliance, Tax, Insurance, Finance, Procurement, technical, HSE, Quality and project stakeholders.
• Lead post-contract activities including variations, invoicing, and change orders.
