Job summary

shafa construction in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced welder to read welding drawings, isometrics and WPS, determine joint design, welding sequence and specifications.

You will perform welding using SMAW, GTAW, TIG, GMAW, MIG, FCAW and SAW, prepare joints, select electrodes, and coordinate with QC for NDT when required; maintain equipment, follow HSE guidelines, and keep weld records.

Age 22-50 and minimum 5 years of welding experience are required.

Qualifications

• Familiar with multiple welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret welding drawings, isometrics and WPS to determine joint design and sequence.
• Perform welding using SMAW, GTAW, TIG, GMAW, MIG, FCAW and SAW as required.
• Prepare materials, fit-up joints, and select electrodes and wires.
• Inspect welds for defects and rectify as needed.
• Follow HSE guidelines and report malfunctions; maintain records of welds and material usage.
• Coordinate with QC for NDT (RT, UT, DPT, MPT) as required.
