Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a senior wayfinding designer to lead complex projects from conception to delivery. You will drive creative direction for signage, placemaking, and narrative visuals, collaborating with architects and interior designers to align client goals with strategic design outcomes.

The role requires a strong portfolio, 8+ years of experience, and deep knowledge of ME regulations, materials, and fabrication techniques in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience in wayfinding design, signage, and environmental graphics across diverse project types.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex wayfinding projects from concept through completion with a strong portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design development, and implementation of wayfinding projects from inception to completion.
• Develop creative direction and execution of wayfinding, signage, and placemaking to meet client goals.
• Create narratives and presentations to communicate strategy and design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and stakeholders to propose integrated wayfinding solutions.
• Provide mentorship and foster creativity, excellence, and collaboration within the team.
• Demonstrate expertise in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AI Tools, 3DS Max and SketchUp to produce designs.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant advancements into project deliverables.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in wayfinding design, and incorporate relevant advancements into project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in wayfinding design, signage, and environmental graphics across diverse project types, including masterplans, luxury hospitality, residential, mixed-use, retail, commercial, entertainment, healthcare, and education.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex wayfinding projects from concept through completion, supported by a strong design portfolio and proven track record.

Key Skills & Expertise

• Comprehensive knowledge of local regulations, codes, and standards governing wayfinding and architectural projects within the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and the development of detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Exceptional creative and conceptual skills, leveraging expertise in urban planning and interior design to craft and present holistic wayfinding strategies.
• Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools, 3DS Max, and SketchUp.
