Job summary

Analog in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Unity development team. You will plan and implement gameplay features, build high-quality code, and optimize performance for mobile platforms.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and the product owner to define tasks, review implementations, and ensure adherence to coding guidelines and architecture; experience building patches and updates is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience as a Unity developer
• In-depth knowledge of Unity software and best practices (prefabs, asset bundles, organized scene hierarchy)
• Extensive experience with mobile game development
• Good communication skills
• Experience with memory and space optimization
• Knowledge of scripting, animation, session management, and textures
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Establish strategy and development pipelines
• Create high-level designs (HLDs), and plan and implement game functionality
• Design and build game code
• Identify and fix code errors and game bottlenecks
• Test game functionality and theme dynamics
• Ensure products conform to high industry standards
• Design and build game patches and upgrades
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and the product owner to identify short-term and long-term tasks
• Review implementations to ensure they match coding guidelines and architecture
