Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Tunnels Lead to join our Middle East Transport & Infrastructure team in the UAE, supporting projects across the GCC. You will drive technical excellence in tunnel engineering, lead major underground infrastructure deliveries, and mentor multidisciplinary teams to grow WSP's tunnelling capabilities in the region.

The role requires a strong track record in tunnel design and project delivery, leadership across complex projects, and the ability to win and deliver

Qualifications

15+ years of professional tunnel/underground infrastructure experience.
Proven experience leading design and delivery of major tunnelling projects in rail, metro, highways or utilities.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.
International project exposure in ME, Europe, Asia, or AMericas is desirable.
Strong knowledge of conventional and mechanized tunnelling methodologies.

Responsibilities

Serve as the regional technical authority for tunnelling and underground projects.
Lead design/review of TBM/IMT tunnels, shafts, underground stations, and supporting structures.
Provide guidance across feasibility to construction phases and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Drive value engineering, risk management, and knowledge sharing across the tunnels community.
Lead bids, client engagement, and major project pursuits in the Middle East.
