Job summary

Mashreqbank PSC invites an experienced Senior Manager, Trade Sanctions Compliance to lead the sanctions risk program across trade finance and cross-border payments. You will shape the control framework, advise senior management, and act as escalation point for complex determinations, ensuring regulatory compliance and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate with extensive sanctions/AML/financial crime compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of global sanctions frameworks (OFAC, EU, UAE).
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and data-driven decision making.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders in a regulated environment.
• ACAMS or equivalent certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead sanctions risk framework and screening controls.
• Escalate complex sanctions determinations and advise on risk implications.
• Represent the function in regulatory examinations, audits and governance forums.
• Lead a high-performing sanctions team and manage capacity planning.
• Partner with Technology and Operations to drive automation and control efficiency.
• Prepare senior management reporting on sanctions risk and controls.
