Job summary

Mashreq Bank seeks a Senior Manager, Trade Sanctions Compliance to lead the sanctions risk posture for trade finance and cross-border payments. You will shape the control framework, escalate complex determinations, and guide senior stakeholders.

You will own policy development, regulatory interactions, and the leadership of a high-performing team, driving automation and risk-based decision making within UAE and international operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in banking or financial services with sanctions/AML leadership.
• Deep knowledge of OFAC, EU, UN, UAE regimes and regulation.
• Strong stakeholder influence across regulatory, audit and business.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex risk decisions.
• Experience in cross-border trade and trade finance risk areas.

Responsibilities

• Own trade sanctions risk framework, screening and control design.
• Escalate complex sanctions determinations and advise senior management.
• Represent the function in regulatory examinations and audits.
• Lead people development, succession planning, and performance management.
• Drive automation, process improvements and governance for sanctions delivery.
