Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Test Engineer with strong experience in Quality Assurance (QA), specifically within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in testing applications related to motor and/or medical insurance lines of business (LOBs).

You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of insurance applications through comprehensive testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track bugs or issues to closure.
• Ensure that applications meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist end-users during the testing process.
• Continuously enhance testing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills:

• 3–5 years of strong experience in QA/Test Engineering.
• Solid understanding and practical experience in motorand/or medical insurance applications testing.
• Experience in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla).
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have:

• Experience in automation testing tools will be an added advantage.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with database querying for backend testing.
