Job summary

EDGE seeks a highly skilled Specialist Onboard Telemetry to join our Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. You will design, develop, and integrate telemetry packs for precision-guided munitions and advanced weapon systems, supporting flight tests, data acquisition, and post-test analysis.

The role requires 10–12 years in telemetry/flight test within Defense or Space, plus strong knowledge of PCM encoding, Arcnet, and MATLAB-based analysis.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronic/Electrical/Mechatronics/Aerospace or closely related discipline.
• 10–12 years of telemetry and flight test experience in defense/space.
• Knowledge of Telemetry PCM encoding, Arcnet and serial protocols.
• Signal conditioning circuit design, PCB design and layout, wiring/schematic interpretation.
• Telemetry and flight test instrumentation systems proficiency.
• Laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and electronic debugging.
• Familiarity with military and commercial standards for flight test systems.
• Experience with data acquisition, data reduction, and MATLAB-based analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain onboard telemetry packs for precision-guided munitions.
• Establish telemetry design data packs, documentation, and configuration records.
• Design and implement analog signal conditioning for telemetry instrumentation and data acquisition.
• Install, configure, and validate onboard telemetry equipment for flight test programs.
• Develop and execute acceptance, verification, and validation procedures for telemetry systems.
• Manage telemetry metadata for PCM, Arcnet, and onboard weapon communication ICDs.
• Support flight test activities, including telemetry data reception and real-time monitoring.
• Perform data reduction, processing, and analysis using MATLAB and other tools.
• Generate post-flight test reports and provide telemetry-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate telemetry with weapon and subsystems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve electronic subsystem and production test failures.
