Job summary

Johnson Controls in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Technician Security Systems. You will report to the Field Line Manager and support commissioning, replacing controllers, and onsite verification of security systems across commercial, retail and hospitality projects.

You will lead a roster-based 24/7 team of technicians and subcontractors, coordinate with client IT teams, and ensure safety and quality in installing and testing Access Control, CCTV, ANPR and related systems.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical /Electronic or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 Years Experience with installation Testing & Commissioning & Servicing of CCTV systems (Avigilon HIK Pelco Avigilon) and Thermal Camera & CCTV Storage systems.
• Proven knowledge of Access Control systems (CEM & C-CURE ACS Applications).
• Experience with Intrusion detection, ANPR & PAVA Systems.
• Experience with Road Blockers, Bollards, Gate Barriers & Fire Systems.
• Experience with hardware-level integration with Lifts, Thermal Cameras & Perimeter detection systems.
• Ability to prepare ADMCC submittals and requirements.
• Strong coordination with third-party service providers and vendors.
• Fluency in English (speaking & writing).
• Valid UAE Driving License.

Responsibilities

Job description

What you will do

The Senior Technician Security Systems is a key role reporting directly to the Field Line Manager and will be based in Abu Dhabi. The Aftermarket CFS team carry out service maintenance and retrofit projects on Security Systems used for comfort and energy efficiency across multiple industries including commercial retail and hospitality.

As a Senior Technician you will support commissioning replacing the controllers and you will be responsible for the onsite system verification PPM activities testing & commissioning of additional doors/cameras Upgradations service reports of Security Management Systems (SMS) and manage overall team of technicians and subcontractors on roster based 24/7 duty shift plan.

As a member of this team you will work within a dynamic environment that provides a platform for you to develop your technical and project management skills.

How you will do it

As a Senior Technician you must have good knowledge of the latest security system products and electronics/Networking knowledge. You are hands on programming controllers installing & commissioning of various Access Control System & CCTV System Platforms Visitor Management Systems Speed gates Car Park barriers Road Blockers Bollards ANPR and set up test third party software integrations. You will demonstrate your expertise by conducting system operation training and creating handover documents to ensure a smooth handover to customers and by maintaining a high standard of safety at all times.

• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure all duties are performed in a safe and professional manner.
• Escalation points on technical issues and provides coaching mentoring and technical assistance to team members and clients.
• Focal point for client sales manufacturer to achieve the required solutions to fulfil the client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients IT team to understand their IT & network requirements and implement the same.
• Technical knowledge in working with UPS systems.
• Supports team in all aspects through technical expertise on systems networks and security products & applications.
• Knowledge in preparation of Incident reports and Root Cause Analysis reports
• Candidate should be fluent in English speaking & Writing
• Valid UAE Driving License
