Job summary

EDGE, based in Abu Dhabi, seeks a Senior Technician Radio Frequency to lead RF and electromagnetics laboratory activities, including installation, testing, qualification, and maintenance of RF systems.

You will supervise technicians, collaborate with engineers, and apply RF measurement techniques such as S-parameters, VSWR, and antenna gain in a fast-paced defense technology environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physics/Electromagnetics Technology or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of practical experience in RF and Electromagnetics.
• Advanced hands‑on experience with RF test equipment, including network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
• Strong knowledge of RF measurements and testing, including antenna gain, return loss/VSWR, S-parameters, acceptance testing, qualification, and systematic fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF preparation, laboratory testing, acceptance testing, and qualification of products in accordance with RF and electromagnetics requirements.
• Operate and maintain RF laboratory equipment and anechoic chambers, ensuring proper inventory, calibration, and equipment readiness.
• Perform systematic RF fault finding, measurement, troubleshooting, and technical documentation for systems and subsystems.
• Supervise and guide technicians and contractors, while collaborating with engineers and other departments to successfully execute RF projects.

About The Role

Senior Technician Radio Frequency in Halcon Support and lead RF and electromagnetics laboratory activities, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, qualification, and maintenance of RF systems and components such as antennas, transmitters, and receivers.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF preparation, laboratory testing, acceptance testing, and qualification of products in accordance with RF and electromagnetics requirements.
• Operate and maintain RF laboratory equipment and anechoic chambers, ensuring proper inventory, calibration, and equipment readiness.
