Job description

Role purpose:

A Category Specialist will utilize their sales knowledge in ventilation and air conditioning systems to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets within the marine OEM and refit sectors. They will collaborate closely with clients and suppliers to align strategies and effectively meet company objectives.

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with designers, architects, developers, and boat builders to secure ventilation and air conditioning systems for marine applications.
  • Ensure sales targets are met consistently, aligning with both supplier commitments and client expectations.
  • Identify and engage new end-user customers to establish long-term agreements, while coordinating the supply and installation processes for Exalto’s ventilation and air conditioning systems and accessories.
  • Provide expert advice on product selection and application to boost sales.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure that the ventilation and air conditioning system supply and installations meet both technical specifications and marine industry standards.
  • Oversee the entire sales process, from opportunity creation to closure for the ventilation and air conditioning systems, ensuring effective communication with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends ventilation and air conditioning systems to demonstrate products to customers, and identify potential projects and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate internally to streamline project processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify case study opportunities and collaborate with marketing for ventilation and air conditioning systems promotions.
  • Maintain CRM records and generate sales forecasts for management.
  • Attend boat shows, exhibitions, and other events organized, sponsored, or participated in by Exalto Emirates, as this is essential for supporting business objectives and ensuring the professional representation of the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master/Bachelor degree in engineering, business or a related field, with project management skills
  • ERP software knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting architectural drawings and building plans
  • Technical aptitude for ventilation and air conditioning systems

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of Experience in theventilation and air conditioning systems
  • Proven track record in sales growth, key account management, and business development
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with design engineers and refit service providers
