Job summary

Emirates is seeking a Senior Technical Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of scalable, secure software within an agile team in Dubai.

The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with architects, stakeholders, and vendors to achieve business outcomes, while adopting modern CI/CD, testing, and observability practices.

Qualifications

• Degree or honours in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years delivering enterprise applications in Agile environments.
• Experience designing secure, scalable enterprise software.
• Expertise in Java, Spring, Hibernate, React, and microservices.
• Strong CI/CD, testing, performance optimization, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of medium to large-scale initiatives.
• Develop and review high-quality software per standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver outcomes.
• Drive secure coding, test automation, CI/CD, and observability.
• Resolve complex production issues and major incidents within SLAs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including AI-assisted tools.
