Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of surveying principles & techniques.
• Proficient in the use of surveying instruments.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Ability to interpret maps & aerial photographs.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction sites for accuracy.
• Carry out field work such as measurements, land surveys and mapping.
• Collect data using the latest GPS technologies.
• Prepare topographical maps using specialist software packages.
• Estimate volume/area/distance/height measurements.
• Use surveying instruments such as theodolites or total stations.
• Analyze survey data to prepare reports or drawings.
• Advise on land use regulations or zoning issues.
