Job summary

NMDC in United Arab Emirates is seeking a Survey Project Lead to identify discrepancies, support the project survey team on mobilization, calibrations, execution, and close-out, and report activities to the Project Surveyor.

You will work with the Survey Department to ensure construction projects meet design specs, help prepare and maintain Survey Guidelines, and assist with installation and troubleshooting of survey equipment. English required; Arabic and other languages are assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role and industry.
• Certification / Membership: Additional certifications and affiliations in Survey would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in measurements.
• Assist the project survey team with mobilization, calibrations, execution, deliverables, and project close out.
• Report all activities that may affect survey operations to the Project Surveyor / Chief Surveyor.
• Follow policies and procedures for effective functioning of the project survey team on site.
• Work with the Survey Department to ensure construction projects adhere to design specifications.
• Assist during installation and troubleshooting of survey equipment, hardware, and software.
• Ensure the safety of each employee and participate in safety programs.
• Be able to manage personnel with different cultural backgrounds and take ownership of objectives.
