Job summary

TalentOne is seeking a Senior Supervisor - Commissioning (Process) to lead and oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities on a project site in the UAE. You will ensure safe execution, technical quality and delivery aligned with the approved schedule.

Responsibilities include organizing teams, preparing dossiers, supervising chemical cleaning, start-ups, and stabilisation, along with ensuring readiness through LOTO and SIMOPS controls.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in Chemical, Process or related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Extensive field experience in process commissioning, plant start-up and stabilization.
• Demonstrated experience supervising large technical and subcontractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead technicians, operators and subcontractor teams for daily commissioning activities.
• Prepare work fronts, testing dossiers, drawings, procedures, tools, PPE, permits and toolbox talks before execution.
• Supervise chemical cleaning, leak testing, catalyst loading, steam/air blowing, inerting, package start-up, plant start-up and stabilization.
• Inspect systems for operational readiness and ensure LOTO, access control, barricading and SIMOPS controls are implemented.
• Guide plant operators and monitor flow, level, temperature and pressure to maintain stable operations without trips or shutdowns.
• Support DCS activities involving alarms, trips, logic, interlocks, permissives and overrides.
• Track progress, manpower and spare-part usage; identify constraints and recommend recovery actions.
• Interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams and control narratives accurately and maintain complete commissioning records.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, HSE, vendors and other disciplines to resolve site issues.
