Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Structural Inspector for building construction in Abu Dhabi to verify structural works, assess conformance with drawings and specifications, and document deficiencies. The role requires at least 8 years of experience, a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, and strong knowledge of UAE building requirements.

You will coordinate with contractors and engineers to ensure quality and safety across foundations, framing and completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural inspection or related construction discipline.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings and specifications during site inspections.
• Familiarity with UAE building requirements and multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural construction activities at foundation, framing and subsequent stages.
• Verify site execution against approved drawings and specifications.
• Check compliance with UAE building codes and international standards.
• Record inspection observations with notes, photographs and documentation.
• Prepare structured inspection reports detailing deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and project management teams.
• Monitor safety during inspection work.
