Job summary

Zutari, a leading engineering firm in the Middle East, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to supervise complex building structures in the UAE. The candidate will lead on-site supervision of RC, steel, and mixed-use developments while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

We expect a minimum of 15 years of experience and UAE site exposure, with strong knowledge of design codes and a track record of resolving on-site challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; master's preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of UAE/Dubai site supervision experience on complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and local UAE regulations.
• Ability to review shop drawings and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; on-site issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned slabs, structural steel, and composite structures.
• Oversight of deep foundations, transfer girders, cantilevered elements, and complex load-transfer systems
• Review and approval of shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
• Monitoring and inspection of specialized structural works (mega columns, outrigger systems, large-span trusses)
• Coordination with design teams to resolve design-build challenges and value-engineering solutions
• Compliance with local codes and regional regulations
• Structural integrity verification, site issue troubleshooting, and NCR/SOR reporting
• Close collaboration with contractors to maintain safety, cost control, and schedule adherence

About the role

Zutari is seeking an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience supervising the construction of complex and challenging building structures, including high-rise towers, long-span steel roofs, post-tensioned systems, deep foundations, and mixed-use developments. Proven expertise in ensuring structural integrity, resolving on-site technical challenges, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

• Compliance with local codes and regional regulations
• Structural integrity verification, site issue troubleshooting, and nonconformance reporting (NCRs/SORs)
• Close collaboration with contractors to maintain safety, cost control, and schedule adherence

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years experience, including UAE/Dubai site supervision of complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and UAE local authority requirements (DM, Trakhees, etc.).
• Proficiency in reviewing structural shop drawings, material submittals, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues on-site.
• Registration with the UAE Society of Engineers is an advantage.
