Job summary

Mira Construction L.L.C in Dubai seeks an experienced Construction Structural Engineer to oversee structural works on-site under the head office supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and has 8+ years of UAE experience in buildings, with strong CAD and Revit skills and knowledge of local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural design and construction, with a focus on buildings.
• Knowledge of local Authority standards and regulations is essential.
• Proficiency in CAD, Revit and other PC software for structural modelling, analysis and design.
• Experience working in UAE construction for at least 5 years.
• English level proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of structural-related works.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and the construction supervision team.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve issues.
• Maintain daily diary and daily reports by inspectors.
• Direct, assist and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors.
• Convene and chair meetings with authorities, contractor, subcontractors and others.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Ensure safety goals are achieved and oversee safety procedures on the project.
• Prepare/assist in weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Ensure accuracy of as-built drawings within the scope of work.
• Keep records and hand over structural works to service authorities.

Mira construction is seeking an experienced Construction Structural Engineer
The work-format: -Head office supervision

Responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of structural-related works.
• Coordinate the activities with the other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.
• Review of shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities.
• Coordinate with design engineers for resolution of related issues.
• Maintain the daily diary and the daily reports by the inspectors.
• Direct, assist and monitor the performance of the inspectors and surveyors as applicable.
• Convene and chair special meetings with the service authorities, the contractor, subcontractors and other parties related to his work.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.
• Prepare / Assist in the preparation of Weekly and Monthly progress reports.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of ‘as-built’ drawings within his line of work.
• Keep necessary records and as-built records and take charge of the handing over of the structural works to the respective service authorities and assist the contractor to obtain necessary final clearance.
