Experience of major prestressed bridges and underpasses. Assist in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, and method statements, and prepare responses for the Resident Engineer's review.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Parsons design engineers to resolve issues and maintain daily reports.
- Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and resource allocation.
- Oversee the performance of inspectors and surveyors.
- Lead meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and service authorities.
- Ensure safety standards and project records are maintained.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Support health and safety compliance on-site.
- Provide site direction and assist with issuing instructions related to utilities and associated works.
- Check, measure, and track work progress against the schedule and ensure accuracy of as-built drawings.
- Manage the handover of completed structural works to service authorities and assist the contractor with final clearance.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years for Structural Engineer, or minimum of 15 years for Senior Structural Engineer
- Prior experience in construction supervision or operation and maintenance of bridges and underpass
- Review and justify material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, and perform acceptance sampling and testing.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications through quality measures.
- Be fully computer literate and proficient in using technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.
- Utilize project-specific engineering and construction software effectively.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
