Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Structures Senior BIM Technician to lead the structural BIM of complex projects, ensuring delivery aligns with the BIM Execution Plan and project standards. You will oversee BIM processes across concept to handover, generate 2D deliverables from the BIM model, coordinate multi-disciplinary models, and perform regular audits to maintain model health.

The role requires 4–6 years in BIM, a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, and familiarity with Revit and CDE

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in digital development and BIM best practice.
• Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Familiarity with interoperability between Revit and other discipline-specific software programs and tools.
• Project set-up experience including the CDE design models.
• Stay updated with the latest digital tools and technologies relevant to building services and incorporate them into the projects practices & workflows.
• General understanding of procedures company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas.
• May oversee work of junior-level technicians. Viewed as competent in all areas.
• Perform model checks; ensure compliance with general and project specific BIM standards are met on all BIM projects.
• Work with project teams to coordinate model set up drawing packages model coordination and any other project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BIM processes across project stages from concept to handover.
• Generate and manage 2D deliverables from the BIM model.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models ensuring timely updates and clash-free deliverables.
• Maintain model health through regular audits and reviews.
• Ensure drawings are extracted with correct scale and title blocks per standards.
• Support sheet creation annotation workflows and print reviews before submissions.
