Job summary

CHINA HARBOUR ENGINEERING ARABIA CO.,LTD. (MIDDLE EAST) in Dubai seeks a senior civil/structural engineer to lead the review of IFC drawings, BIM models, and shop drawings, coordinating civil works with MEP and airport project teams.

You will provide on-site technical support for excavation, concrete, reinforcement, and structural works, while preparing submittals, method statements, and technical letters to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related design discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in structural design and construction in the Middle East.
• Airport structure project experience preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, check, and interpret IFC drawings, BIM models, shop drawings, specifications, and design documents; coordinate civil works with MEP.
• Prepare technical submittals and method statements, issue technical queries to consultants, and liaise with the consultant to resolve design-related issues.
• Provide on-site technical support for civil works including excavation, concrete, reinforcement, backfilling, and structural works; troubleshoot site issues and propose alternative construction solutions.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation such as technical justifications and formal letters.
