Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced PMC Lead Static Engineer to oversee the design, development, and implementation of static equipment, ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards for a high-profile client.

In this role you will ensure integration of mechanical static engineering, coordinate with EPC contractors and IPMT teams, and lead technical reviews of deliverables while upholding ADNOC codes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organising, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Static Engineering.
• Overall coordination within IPMT Mechanical Static Engineering Team.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant’s and EPC Contractor’s Mechanical Static Engineering design activities.
• Review and approve Engineering Consultant’s and EPC Contractor’s work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes, and standards and best industry practices.
• Coordinate required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
• Contribute input and expertise to design optimisation and validation by analysing various design options and business models.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing and selection, considering optimisation and standardisation.
• Ensure facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environmental and health aspects.
• Ensure full utilisation of existing facilities while optimising those required for new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning.
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders, and Engineers in the company’s Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department.
• Interface regularly with the Contractor’s Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as and when required.
